... Jaume Plensa has put down on the ground a vast cast iron plate engraved with the Latin text from the Old Testament quoting to the Deluge episode. At the falling of the day, a beam of light blazes; coming out from the centre of the plate, it climbs vertically towards the sky. With the night that advances the density of the light reinforces itself to the point of rendering unreadable the engraved text.

 

If the beam of light is visible miles away, Jaume Plensa reserves the direct access to his works to the one whom goes on foot, to walk on the text.

 

The works thus penetrates in the memory of each one, in order to organise incessant comings and goings between the cause and effects, between the past events and what might come again: man knows how to foresee the storm but cannot stop the Deluge...
