BENGALURU'S SOUL, 2025
Kempegowda International Airport, Bengaluru, India
Unveiled on April 25, 2026
Bengaluru’s Soul, unveiled on April 25, 2026, at Terminal 2, Kempegowda International Airport Bengaluru, in the presence of Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw (Executive Chairperson and Founder, Biocon Group), Hari K. Marar (Managing Director and CEO, Bangalore International Airport Ltd), and the artist.
The sculpture's interwoven figures evoke the collective human capital that powers Bengaluru's rise as a global technology & innovation hub –distinct individuals, unified in purpose, imagination, and inquiry.
Encasing these forms is a delicate lattice of mathematical symbols and diverse language scripts –Kannada, Hindi, Arabic, Japanese, Chinese, Tamil, Korean, Greek, Hebrew, Thai, each representing a civilizational strand in the long evolution of science and mathematics.
Together, they form a universal lexicon of knowledge, transcending geography and time.
In its quiet, contemplative presence, 'Bengaluru's Soul' captures the essence of a city where ideas converge, disciplines intersect, and human ingenuity continuously reshapes the future.
